Aerospace Education

All of the programs listed are modular in design and can therefore be tailored to build a program that meets the needs, interests, and schedules of virtually any group.

Visitors to the Aerospace Education Laboratory (the AEL) experience multimedia explanations, presentations, and demonstrations as well as participate in practical applications of the topics presented.  All AEL programs are conducted by a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI).

Introduction to Aerospace

Students develop piloting and navigation skills using flight simulators, aeronautical charts, airport directories, and a variety of aviation information and publications.  Instrument interpretation, aircraft systems, flight procedures, use of cockpit avionics, and flight planning are also taught.

Aerospace Design

Using a variety of computer based design simulation programs, students will learn about different materials, components, concepts, and considerations used by engineers and technicians in the design and manufacture of aircraft.

Students develop an understanding of Earth and space reference systems, different uses of satellites, rocket propulsion, and use Satellite Tool Kit (STK) application software to gain a thorough understanding of satellite orbits and orbital mechanics.

Aerospace Technologies

These training modules cover the topics that are required study for aspiring aviators.  In addition to being prepared to pass the Private Pilot Knowledge Test, students also learn about current aviation technologies and technologies being developed for future implementation.
